Happy Teacher’s day for All lovely Teachers.

Teacher's day speech for children

I am talking to you on the special occasion of Teachers' Day. On this day, we gratefully remember the great educationist Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, whose dream was that "Teachers should be the best minds in the country". Hence, Teachers' Day is very important for all our people, for our students and even for all the parents, as the teachers lay the foundation for creating enlightened citizens for the nation. On this day, I would like to recall the teachers who helped me in shaping my life.
In India, Teacher's Day (also called Teachers' Appreciation Day or National Teacher's Day) is celebrated on 5th of September, every year. The date was selected, because it is the birthday of a timeless teacher and the former President of India - Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. When some of his students and friends approached him and requested him to allow them to celebrate his birthday, he said, "instead of celebrating my birthday separately, it would be my proud privilege, if September 5th is observed as Teacher's day".The request showed Dr.Radhakrishnan's love for the teaching profession.   From then onwards, the 5th of September has been observed as Teachers Day, in India.
Teachers have an influencing role in the life of every student. They are like beacons of light, guiding us in the formative years of our life. Teachers mould us and in the process and shape our future. What we learn from our teachers remains with us, throughout our life. However, very often, we fail to show our appreciation and gratitude for their altruistic devotion. Teachers do need encouragement and support from the community to feel that their efforts are being recognized. To serve the purpose, Teacher's Day is celebrated throughout the world, year by year. By celebrating National Teacher's Day, we thank our teachers for providing us their invaluable guidance.

Writing a speech is not rocket science; it only takes a sincere effort and genuine emotions. Here are some quick tips to prepare a teachers' day speech:

Teachers Day Speech Tips

Chart out your speech: A good speech is the one with an organized structure. Your speech must go in a flow. Even if it is informal and personalized, make sure that your speech must not be an irregular patterned collage. The student(s) should know well how to arrange the content.

Duration of the speech: Another important point to keep in mind is to decide the duration of your speech. A very long, formal speech often becomes dull and imposing. Your speech should rather be short and sweet; good enough to give the audience a memorable time!

Go simple: Speeches are not always meant to be impressive. Using simple words is the best option; when your intention is to communicate. Your honest veneration for your teacher(s) must reach to them. A chatty speech is a better idea than a speech loaded with heavy and decorative words. A speech is at its best when it is able to articulate what it wants!

Acknowledge their efforts: Choosing a chatty medium, however, does not suggest that you forget to acknowledge your teacher(s)'s efforts. The speech must register the constant support of the teacher to their students. Personalizing the speech: The student(s) can include their personal experiences in the speech to make it personalized and more expressive. You can narrate incidents of your teachers' tremendous support and guidance that you have experienced yourself. This gives the speech an emotional element; making it an exclusive experience for the teacher.

Tell them their importance: The speech must include the integral role of teachers' in a student's life. Teachers', after all, are no less important than parents in one's life! Teachers' day gives you the chance to tell your teachers how special they are!

Adorn with quotes: Adding some useful quotes and some relevant phrases of a poem, though, would be a nice way of adorning your piece of writing. It would make your speech more artistic and touching.

Don't neglect the purpose of the day: Remember, we celebrate Teachers' Day in memory of Dr. Sarvapali Radhakrishnan. Hence, you must not forget to mention the second President of India in your speech. It is Dr. Radhakrishnan, who is an inspiration to teacher-hood. Talk about his great achievements to make your speech informative as well as inspirational.

It's a dedication: It would be a great idea if your speech looks more like a dedication. It is important to communicate your gratitude and acknowledge the diligence of your loving teachers.

Bring out the poet in you: If you know how to pen down your thoughts well, it's best to write a short poem or an epilogue to your speech. However, if you cannot write, there's always an option of going for quotes or phrases from poems.

So, be expressive and flaunt your emotions in your speech. It is best to be yourself!

Hope these tips help you to make your teacher feel special!

Happy Teachers' Day!!!
